Argon/Carbon Dioxide gas blend is a popular choice for MIG welding of non-ferrous metals, as well as stainless and carbon steel welding. It provides excellent penetration and wetting action, which can reduce spatter and porosity. It is ideal for short-circuiting transfer welding techniques.
