Description

This model of automatic electric heater for compressed gas is recommended where conditions or flow rates may tend to cause the formation of dry ice. The heater is attached between the gas cylinder valve and a suitable regulator. The heater warms the gas stream allowing for a flow rate up to 160 SCFH without regulator freeze up. Thermostatically controlled at 160 degrees F to prevent overheating of the gas, this heater allows for flow in either direction through the heater. Encased in a brass body, the heating element efficiently radiates heat into the gas stream. The epoxy polymer outer jacket of the heater provides insulation, allowing the operator to install or remove the heater under warm conditions. The heater includes a 5.5 ft. long power cord with a standard 3-prong plug and requires 120 VAC voltage and 120 watts, 1 amp of power. The heater may be used in conjunction with any regulator that is suitable for the gas being used.
